Non-Sign II // Lead Pencil Studio

November 11, 2010
by

Seattle based art and architecture firm, Lead Pencil Studio created this amazing installation at the U.S.-Canada border crossing near Vancouver.

Titled Non-Sign II, the piece is made up off stainless steel rods that mimic the shape of a commercial billboard.

Borrowing the effectiveness of billboards to redirect attention away from the landscape… this permanently open aperture between nations works to frame nothing more than a clear view of the changing atmospheric conditions beyond.
