Sunflower Seeds by Ai Wei Wei // Tate Modern

October 16, 2010

Chinese contemporary artist Ai Wei Wei is the latest artist to work on the Tate Modern Unilever Series. Using millions of life-sized sunflower seed husks crafted from porcelain in Jingdezhen, China, Ai Wei Wei filled the Tate Modern’s Turbine Hall.

The result is an installation that explores this meticulous craft and the idea of products “Made in China.” Awesome.
