Street Art // Armsrock

by

Danish artist Armsrock is known for his life-sized drawings of humans at the edges of societies. He was Egypt last month, taking part in the “Streets of Cairo” event; a collaboration between European & Egyptian artists in ‘a dialogue & exchange on culture’. Amazing!!

Armsrock also put up this piece (above) while he was there, created using charcoal on paper glued to wall. Apparently, the Cairo police painted over it (below) after it was placed. Didn’t expect them to be anti-street art!

I agree. I also love how the subject of the piece was related to the country, even though the artist was Danish!
