The Gagosian Gallery (New York) opened its latest exhibition last week; The Roy Lichtenstein: Still Lifes Exhibition. The show is a retrospective of pop-artist master Roy Lichtenstein, and features painting, sculptures, and drawings created between 1972 through the early 80’s. This is actually the first exhibition of its kind that specifically focuses on Lichtenstein’s work during that time period.

In addition, an illustrated catalog will be released which includes an essay from Princeton University’s Professor of American Art – John Wilmerding, a pictorial from Louise Lawler, and an interview with collector and dealer Joe Helman.

The Roy Lichtenstein: Still Lifes Exhibition will run until July 30th, 2010.
