Video Painting // SWEATSHOPPE

SWEATSHOPPE is new multimedia collaboration between New York artists Bruno Levy and Blake Shaw. Together, they developed “a new interactive technology which enables them to explore the relationship between video, mark making and architecture.” The technology, called Video Painting, allows them to literally look like they are painting video on different surfaces. Very unique concept, and even cooler when you see how its actually done!

To display this new technology, SWEATSHOPPE created a video titled “The Landing” which illustrates the technique of video painting in a creative way blending music, art, and technology. Shot in Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan, “The Landing” is the first of a series of videos that we’ll be seeing from the duo.

I’m very excited to see more projects from SWEATSHOPPE. What they’re doing now in terms of technology and art is pretty interesting and definitely something I would love to try out in the future. What do you think?
