Street Mural // Vigil by Damon Ginandes

Brooklyn based mixed-media artist Damon Ginandes has such a distinctive style. His latest piece is a 25′ x 15′ street mural titled Vigil, which can be seen on the exterior wall of Ramiken Crucible on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

“The characters, rendered in latex acrylic paint, are ancient totemic souls emerging from the brick facade to pay us a visit — observing, investigating, communicating, and perhaps judging.”

If you go through his portfolio you’ll notice the overall mood of his work is quite somber and intense. His characters and style are beautifully developed. Great work!
