August 15-17, 2009 marks the 40th anniversary of the Woodstock festival. Many events will be held around the world to commemorate this historic festival, including, Hippiefest and the release of the film Taking Woodstock . Although we are missing many of the greats such as Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, and The Grateful Dead, the Summer of Love in ’69 still resonates memories of peace, love, and rock’n roll.

40 years later, the music still lives on and a weekend music festival made history…
