Legendary Graphic designer Peter Saville teamed up with DC Snowboarding to design their 2009 Winter Collection. The result: a unique rendering of parts from some of Saville’s most famous album covers.

The “Contour” collection is a 3-D rendering of the sleeve design for Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division. The limited edition “Hazard” collection is inspired by the OMD Dazzle Ships sleeve design. The yellow and black color also resembles the industrial warning signs that were painted all over the floor of New Order’s Hacienda club in Manchester, England.

This amazing collaboration of music, design, and fashion has us wanting to hit slopes really badly. Personally, I love the Contour collection in white! Also, I believe this is a great way to introduce the designer and his talents to the younger generation.

You can view and buy the entire Saville collection from the DC website and select DC stores distributors worldwide.

We highly recommend you checkout this full discography of Saville’s sleeve designs here for some inspiration.
